Planning & FAQ · Custom furniture
Questions to plan around
Design and materials supply are available globally, while installation is available in Southern California.
What do I need to start a custom furniture project?
A sketch, an inspiration photo or simply a description of the feeling you want is enough to begin. Add rough room dimensions, photos of the space and a note of how the piece will be used day to day, and the idea can be developed into a practical design.
How are materials, hardware and finishes chosen?
Stone, timber, metal and upholstered elements are selected alongside hardware and finishes, considering how each piece works on its own and with the rest of the room. Where there is a wider project palette, finishes can be matched to it.
How do built-in pieces work with lighting and power?
Built-ins such as cabinetry, islands and vanities are planned with lighting, power and the surrounding surfaces in mind. Mention any outlets, switches or integrated lighting you want early, as they affect the design and site measure.
